This has been an eventful summer – that’s why I did a recap last week sharing all of the photos of fun things we did this summer! Had I known how fun this past week would be, though, I would have waited to talk about the summer until this week! Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to do another post today, huh? 🙂
So last Tuesday started as any other Tuesday…my alarm went off, I got ready for work, and then I was scrolling through Instagram. I saw that my friend had attended the Jonas Brothers concert in Minneapolis that previous night. I spent my teenage years as a Jonas Brothers fanatic, and have gone to 6 or 7 Jonas Brothers concerts with this friend. I was so excited when the band got back together this past year, but hadn’t bothered to get tickets for this tour because they were so expensive. So when I saw that my friend had basically front-row seats that previous night, I messaged her and asked her how she did it (knowing that those tickets were outrageously expensive). She told me that they purchased the tickets at 5 pm (literally 2 hours before showtime) for next-to-nothing. As fate would have it, the Jonas Brothers would be playing in Milwaukee that night – just an hour away from me. Now knowing her strategy of waiting until that afternoon to purchase tickets, I logged in to StubHub that morning and kept an eye on prices all day. Slowly but surely, prices were dropping. There were only two seats left in the VIP area that I’d been keeping an eye on, and by the end of the work day, those two spots had dropped to $38 and $71. For reference, these tickets were going for $1038 a piece on other websites! Needless to say, I jumped on those tickets. And Andrew was nice enough to go to the concert with me (knowing full-well what he was getting himself into…Nick Jonas is and always has been my #1 celebrity crush). What a guy. 🙂 I’ve never been anywhere near this close at a Jonas Brothers concert, so it was a pretty great night. Here are some photos:
I know I joke all the time about my crush on Nick Jonas, and as excited I was to be 5 feet from him, I couldn’t be happier about this guy beside me. He’s the real crush in this photo. 🙂
SO, our fun week didn’t end there. On Friday, we headed back to Milwaukee after work for the Brewers game! They’re in the hunt to be the Wild Card team, so the game was a big deal! Crossing my fingers for another playoff run.
And then on Saturday, we woke up bright and early to start tailgating for the Badgers game! My office hosted a tailgate party for our clients, partners and friends and had a big screen TV to play the game right there in the parking lot. They beat #11 Michigan! It was a great time, and the rain even held off for the most part!
We also got busy with decorating for fall, so I thought I’d share a couple photos here of our festive home. 🙂
Phew, alright! I think that’s about all we’ve been up to this week…just your typical week. 🙂 If you could choose one of these to attend (Jonas Brothers concert, Brewers game, or Badgers game), which would you pick? Share with us in the comments below!
