Patriotic Fourth of July Crafts

By: Amanda Magnus

With the Fourth of July coming up much quicker than anticipated, now is a great time to start thinking of some crafts to decorate for the holiday. I love the Fourth of July because it’s always so fun getting together with family and friends and getting to watch the fireworks. It’s also a great excuse to do some crafting to have festive decor around the house!

Naturally, I searched out Pinterest to bring you some of my favorite Fourth of July crafts. First up are these cute wooden firecrackers. These would be so quick and easy to make. Find some scrap pieces of wood, paint them red, white and blue and stick a piece of wire in the top. Then just find a cute ribbon to tie them together. You can even add a wooden star to the ribbon like in the picture.

Next up is a cute craft for the kids. This is super easy but so fun for them! Shaving cream fireworks just used a few simple items and you have a great craft to do with your kids! You can check out how to do this one here.

For my final craft idea I found, I thought a patriotic wreath was a great idea! This wreath could be made with items you even have around the house! Make a round form out of a wire hanger or some other wire you may have around. Paint some clothespins red, white and blue. Clip them onto the wire alternating the red and white for stripes. Finally add some white stars to the blue clothespins. Or if you don’t feel like making it you can just buy it on Etsy here. 🙂

Hopefully these give you some inspiration to make some patriotic crafts for the Fourth of July holiday! Do you have any other craft ideas for the Fourth of July? Tell us about your plans in the comments!
