Kristen’s River Falls Bridal Shower

I am so lucky. After a weekend full of pre-wedding celebrations, I’ve come to the conclusion that I have the very best friends and family. On Saturday, all of the girls got together for a bachelorette party, which we’ll talk about on the blog later this week. But on Sunday, my sweet aunts, Elsa and Tanya, and cousins, Anna and Carly, hosted a bridal shower (yes, in addition to the one Amanda hosted with her family a couple weeks ago)! It was so much fun!

They had rented out a community room in my hometown of River Falls for the shower. When we arrived, they were finishing up the decorating and setting up, and it was all so cute!

They put up this “Kristen’s Shower” sign, and each table was decorated so cute with tablecloths and flower arrangements.

When guests arrived, they sat down at the craft table to decorate ornaments for mine and Andrew’s Christmas tree! Isn’t that a cute idea? Now we’ll always be reminded of some of our favorite people each time we look at our Christmas tree. πŸ™‚

Here is a chunk of the group hard at work decorating their ornaments. Can you spot Amanda? πŸ™‚

Next up was lunch time! They had food brought in from one of my favorite restaurants, Mariachi Loco! We had a fajita/nacho bar, which was appropriate since it was Cinco de Mayo, and Mexican is one of my favorite food groups! πŸ˜‰

After lunch was another activity! At past family bridal showers, we’ve had teams compete to design the best wedding dress out of toilet paper, but this time they mixed it up and had teams compete to design the best flower bouquet out of toilet paper! This was so clever and so fun.

My niece, Maddie, clearly had a little fun with the toilet paper. πŸ™‚ She was practicing for her flower girl duties!

The hardest part about this activity was that I had to decide the winner. Here’s me with the one I chose:

After this, we played bridal catch phrase! We divided up into two teams and had to get our team to guess the word on the card. The crew got pretty competitive. πŸ™‚

Next up was gifts, and I was spoiled entirely too much. I’ve got some very generous friends and family, and I know that these are gifts that Andrew and I will cherish for years to come!

I was also lucky to have Maddie as “Garbage Girl” (a superhero she invented in that moment as she was making trips from me to the trash bin with torn up wrapping paper).

It was such a great day. I am such a lucky lady.

Me with Mariah, my best friend growing up. I’ve known her since we were babies!
Me with Molly, my very first friend from college. We were doubles partners on the tennis team and roommates for 3 years.
Me and my mama. Isn’t she pretty?
The group! A few people had to leave a bit early, so this isn’t everyone, but these are a few of my favorite ladies in the whole world. Have I mentioned I’m blessed?

  1. What a great weekend! Loved seeing all of Kristen’s best friends again after all these years.., it’s like they never skipped a beat! That, along with having our whole family together and interacting with our awesome new extended family and friends made it priceless! The weather even cooperated! We are truly blessed!
